Warmer Weather

Truly can not wait for warmer weather so I can go shooting outside again.

-8 degrees isn't my ideal photo shoot outdoors kind of weather. Thanks Jersey.. really appreciate!  

I have so many ideas for outdoor photo shoots and I just can not wait! :)

However, March is just around the corner... meaning warmer is on its way. Woo-hoo!

Up above is my youngest sister, Sarah. We did a just for fun photo shoot in my studio..

and the results were awesome!

I love having a model that is always wanting to help out and do shoots with me. 

So encouraging and exciting!

In this shoot, she posed in front of black backdrop with several different outfits. Capturing laughter, and everyday playful activities she does.

Had a photo shoot with a close friend of mine for my school and totally went more awesome than expected. 

We weren't trying to have a theme with 'Merica in any way but as always photo shoots always turn out a certain and totally different than what was originally planned... and turn out better.

Which is flippin awesome if you ask me!

Chester

A few days ago I went exploring in Chester, NJ with my friend Elle, 

I was trying to find an abandoned barn that I've seen once before in the area. I wanted to go shoot some pictures there...

But of course, (As always), I ran into some other cool spots that by the time I had time to go to the barn.. the sun was setting.

But the beautiful part, is I can still go back and I found some really cool other shooting spots.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

What a busy past few months it has been! 

Been extremely busy with work and my photography business on the side. 

The past few weeks I have been taking photos for Christmas + Holiday card pictures. Its been fun and stressful at the same time!

June 14th Boxing

Last Saturday (June 14th), my boyfriend and I went down to Bally's Casino in Atlantic City to see some boxing fights. We got second row seats so the view was sick and I was able to take some good shots. 

In almost all the fights, there was a knock out.

The main event was with a fighter named Glen Tapia who knocked out his opponenet in the first round.

Recently I found out he will be fighting on July 26th as well in the under-card.. which I already have tickets for. I am pretty excited to see the results of all of those fights that night.

But most importantly, all of those shots I will be able to take.

Sarah the Rockstar!

This girl right here is the most awesome four year old around! Who also happens to be a my youngest sister. 

Today we had an awesome photo shoot outside rockin' out with her microphone and 'electric guitar'. 

Must say it is a pretty cool thing to have someone you live with ask you take pictures all the time and brings you laughs and hugs along the way! :)

Hawk Watchin'

Went Hawk Watchin' the other day. 

Pretty awesome, got some sick shots and got to see some breathing taking views!

Day By Day

I have so many journals.

And each time I write in one, I write in a different one.. Not following the last one. 

So if  or when I die and someone wants to read and know more about the real 'me', they would go mad flippin'  through each journal trying to follow my life 'day by day'.

But, hey maybe I'm doing that on purpose ;).

Hiking is upon us

Ah, hiking is season is upon us and I'm super excited it about it!

Got some sick pics with some friends yesterday when I went on a hike.

I feel like I've got many adventures coming my way this spring and summer.

Capturing E V E R Y T H I N G

This a picture from my last portrait photo shoot with my good friend Veronica. 

It's funny how for the longest time I only liked taking pictures of nature and everything BUT people.

To be honest, I think I didn't like taking pictures of people because I was so oh so awkward about it. Like I was afraid of what to tell my 'model(s)' to do.. how to pose, everything.

But, now that I am trying it out more, I learned that I love it. 

I get this energy of excitement and of good vibes. I love it, I love who I am when I am taking pictures.

I feel like my full creative potential comes out. Its awesome.

Anyways, as I was saying... I definitely see myself doing portraits and maybe events in the future.

The more I take pictures, the more I realize it doesn't matter what the subject is but I just simply love doing it. 

Ugh, if I can only capture moments every waking moment.. I think I really would.

Henry Castellanos

Last night I went to go to see a EFC Fight in person for the first time. 

Up above is a picture that was taken by me of one of the guys that I was fighting last night. 

My boyfriend was training him boxing leading up to the event. 

I must say I never was into this whole boxing or jujitsu thing ever.. but oddly enough I am starting to really getting into it.

Anyways, this guy (Henry Castellanos) did an amazing job! He didn't win the fight because of one simple mistake but it was truly an awesome fight. I would say this might of been the crowds favorite fight of the night. 

Anyways, I wanted to say it was cool how I could see part of the process leading up to the fight. 

I wish Henry the greatest luck and many blessings for his future fighting career.

I've definitely been making to many excuses in life. 

It is because I am partially lazy (ha) but also fearful of what could happen.

I'm too fearful that things wont go the slightest way possible I would want them to.

But gosh darn it! That means I'm barely moving forward.

Fear takes over in my life too much.

I've come to realize as days keep passing that fear is a lie and either way I need to do what i need to. Otherwise whats the point of even being alive?

I'm done with this fear, time to not make steps but to run in full speed into what I have to!

Journeys and All

I'm looking forward to enter my twenties in just about four months or so. 

I hope to accomplish oh so much in that decade of my life. 

I hope that my career really takes off and I continue to follow in the direction of my dreams. 

I hope that I get married, possibly have a child by my late 20s. 

Oh the things to look forward to. I am sure there will be a share of troubles too but it will be worth it in the end. 

I look forward to travel with the man I love; to go out and have a beer if my heart wishes it so; to no longer live in this town; 

I could go on forever. 

But I'm not there yet, I have to make my way. To get to all those things I want, I have things accomplish. So here's a post and shoutout to my journey!

I've had enough of the cold weather.. especially the amount of snow we've been receiving in good ole' Jersey.

Colorado and customers

Today a lady came into work and she told me she's visiting for Colorado and was sharing how awesome it is over there. 

She told me they rarely pave the roads when it snows but they pave the hiking-bike trials. Yeah Colorado has their priorities straight.  WHEN CAN I MOVE THERE???? 

I just want to live in the Colorado mountains already!! *sigh*
